MONTCLAIR, NJ – Innovative retail design continues to transform the in-store experience, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Shop! Association announced and celebrated the winners of the 2026 Shop! Design Awards live at Shop! MarketPlace 2026 in New Orleans on May 6, 2026.
The Shop! Design Awards honor creative concepts and exceptional execution that elevate the retail environment, with the program’s highest distinction awarded to Store of the Year.
“The winners of the Shop! Design Awards continue to redefine what great retail design can achieve. Their creativity, innovation and strategic thinking are shaping immersive spaces that inspire shoppers and move our industry forward,” said Carly Hagden, Editor in Chief of VMSD Magazine.
A distinguished panel of judges reviewed more than 100 entries across 16 main categories to select the Store of the Year recipient, along with one Gold award winner and two Silver award winners in each category. Entries were evaluated based on excellence in design, originality in the use of space and materials, quality of execution, and, in select categories, return on investment.

Shop! MarketPlace, held at the Ernst N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA on May 5-7, brought together retail creators, manufacturers, suppliers, brands, retailers, design firms and consultants in a collaborative environment to discover retail solutions, discuss emerging trends and build strategic partnerships.
